After about a month and a half of some seriously hard work, we’re open! Stitch & Skein, and with it my dream of running my own little yarn shop, is finally realized and oh my gosh you guys, my heart is so full right now! <3
As of February 13th, we officially opened and I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved seeing so many people come into the store to check out my little shop. I know that I have stressed SO much about having the right products, the right amount of those products, and trying to have a little something for everyone. And I also know that things will forever evolve as I learn what you, my wonderful customers, are looking for as I bring in new products.
With that said, here’s what to expect in the upcoming months:
- Classes – Beginning knitting, sock knitting, chunky blankets, and more! Plus, I’ll be bringing in some fun painting classes and other misc events to take advantage of the space in the back of the shop that is currently unused.
- Embroidery supplies – these have been ordered but I’m at the mercy of the supplier and shipping. But they’ll be here, eventually! Cosmo floss, embroidery hoops, aida cloth, and more will all be available in-store.
- Open stitch times – Many of you asked over opening weekend, and I, too, have missed having a regular time to socialize and work on projects. There will absolutely be open stitch times coming, though at least early on we may have to use a space reservation system to keep it to small groups and COVID-friendly until the restrictions are removed.
Until then, patience… which has never been a virtue of mine.
