Learn a new skill with Stitch & Skein!
“Thanks! I made it!” is my favorite way to surprise people when they compliment me on something I’m wearing, whether it’s a hat, scarf, socks, or a sweater.
Let’s make something together. Whether it’s taking knitting lessons or hanging out at a knit group, I want to help celebrate all the things you make with your own two hands for those you love (including yourself!)

Private Lessons
Sometimes you just need some one-on-one time with someone to really get the hang of it, and I completely get that! Or maybe you just want a little bit of help to refresh your memory on knitting without taking a whole class all over again!
Private in-person and virtual knitting lessons are available for $20/hour. To schedule your lesson, please contact me.
Class Policies
- Registration and Payment:
- All students must register and pay the class fee in advance to secure their spot. Payment can be made in-store or online through our website.
- Registration deadline is 2 days before the start of class (i.e. class starts January 1st, the deadline to register is January 30th)
- If no students are registered for class 2 days ahead of the start date, the class will be considered closed/canceled.
- If a class is full, you may request to be added to the waitlist. If a spot opens, we will contact you.
- Missed Classes, Cancellations, and Refunds:
- Please observe the dates for each class to ensure your schedule will allow you to complete the class before signing up. There are no refunds or store credits for missed classes.
- Because our group classes are typically offered at a discounted rate from our private lessons, make-up classes are not offered. You can, instead, choose to make up the class via a private lesson, which entails an appointment and an additional fee.
- Participants may cancel their registration up to 1 week before the class for a full refund, and up to 48 hours before the class for store credit.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the class start time will not be eligible for refund/store credit.
- If Stitch & Skein cancels the class, participants will receive a full refund or can transfer their registration to another class.
- Class Size:
- Each class has a maximum number of participants, typically 4-6 people, to ensure individual attention and a quality learning experience. Events may be larger, such as workshops, yarn tastings, and tutorials.
- Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Supplies and Materials:
- Each class lists the required materials that are needed for class participation. Materials are not included in class fee cost unless otherwise specified.
- Materials for the class registered for can be purchased at Stitch & Skein at a 20% discount.
- Skill Level:
- Classes are designed for specific skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Please pay special attention to the prerequisites that are listed on each class. Each class is designed to teach a specific technique(s) and not necessarily the skills required to perform the technique. The dedicated class time does not account for teaching the skills on the required skills list. If you have any questions, please contact us and together we will make sure you are ready to get the most out of class.
