How are we already to the end of October?! I don’t know where my month has gone… but the weather has officially turned here in Ohio and it finally feels like a real, proper fall and I’ve got cozy on my brain even more.
Karen and I spent some time planning out classes for the next two months, and I wanted to tell you allllllll about them!
First, we’re offering our beginning knitting and beginning crochet classes again. These classes are perfect if you’re new to knitting or crochet, but are also great refresher courses if it has been a long while since you’ve done any needlework.
Next up… socks! Are you comfortable with knitting a sock on double-pointed needles and would like to try a different method? Try our Knit Socks on Circulars class! We’ll be working on knitting a sock on a circular needle using the magic loop method. OR, if you’re more adventurous, opt for the longer cable needle and try two-at-a-time sock knitting! For this class you should have a basic understanding of knitting in the round and ideally have knit a sock before on double pointed needles. Not quite ready to take on the more advanced method? Sign up for our Socks from Cuff to Toe class where we’ll be walking you through the construction of a knit sock on double pointed needles!

Chunky blankets have been added, of course, but we’ve also added a fun sewing make-and-take session as well! Registrants for this class will get to choose between a red, navy, gray, or aqua apron and will be guided through the process of making an apron of your very own! Make one for yourself for the upcoming holiday baking season or make it as a gift for your favorite home chef! Bring your own machine! If you don’t have one, please let us know – we have a VERY LIMITED number of machines we can bring in for you to use if you do not have one yourself, but we don’t want the lack of a machine to stop you from enjoying this class!
Last, but not least, we’re bringing another round of Stitch & Flix to the shop on Friday, November 12th at 7:00pm! This after-hours event is a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and make some new ones while we watch a movie and work on our projects! Bring a snack, and don’t forget the shop is BYOB (we even have proper wine glasses and a bottle opener if you need it!)
