Years ago, as a newbie knitter, I learned that I could chart my own designs to make up whatever pattern I wanted. That initial realization turned into the Fair Isle Flower Socks, a pattern that now has well over 500 projects made from it, designed 14 years ago!
In honor of this weekend’s shop anniversary to celebrate 2 years of business, I’ve revamped the chart a bit and created a riff off that pattern here with the Fair Isle Flower Cowl!
If you’ve never knit fair isle/stranded before, this is a great way to get started. This project works up on size 9 needles using a light and fluffy yarn (Berroco’s Mochi) to create a next-to-skin soft layer to help chase away the cold this winter (and even into spring!)
