It’s that time of year… Local Yarn Store Day! This is our first year open, of course, and our first LYS day, which is both… exciting and kinda panic inducing. After all, I’m still figuring out this retail thing as it is!

Last but not least… Special hand-dyed yarn will be on the shelf, dyed in-house! I’ve dyed up 4 skeins of a tonal teal that I’ve nicknamed my “Stitch & Skein” yarn, and 4 skeins of a beautiful orangey-pink variegated yarn that reminds me of a tropical cocktail drink. All skeins are a wool/nylon blend in a fingering weight, making them perfect for a fun LYS Day sock to add to your stash! These will be going on the shelf Saturday morning, so don’t miss your chance to snag one!
Local Yarn Store Day is a brick-and-mortar yarn shop appreciation day created by TNNA members. The fourth annual LYS Day will take place on April 17th and is designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. Vendors and retailers alike are coming together to showcase the benefits of locally owned yarn stores through an array of special products, classes, and more!
