Fresh off the blocking mat this week is the Knotty Scarflet by Sivia Harding
Knit in 1 skein of Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend, this triangle scarflet works up quickly and features gorgeous beaded edging along the bottom leaves for a pop of color.
This accessory is knit flat, and you add a button hole toward the end and sew on a button when you’re done – it’s a great opportunity to add a fun and funky button if you’re inclined! (If you intend to use a smaller button, I recommend altering the button hole to make it smaller, FYI)
Beads are added over top of the stitch, after you knit it, using a crochet hook. You’ll need a fairly small hook that will go through a size 6/0 seed bead, but once you get the hang of the technique it isn’t hard at all! (Next thing you know you’ll be adding beads to all sorts of things!)
This project makes a great gift, too! The Silk Blend yarn feels super luxurious and soft against your neck, and they whip up so quick you’ll have half a dozen of them done in no time!
